Fish Market Cat

This lad was painted on the side of the Manchester Craft & Design centre as a nod to the building's past as a Victorian fish market, when cats would be regular visitors, working as pest control while being rewarded with fish. When the market closed in the early ‘70s the cats kept returning. Luckily, fishmonger Jimmy Kelly also returned regularly to make sure the cats were still fed.
